What do I do?
Well, that all depends on where you are on your journey and what you need.
Maybe you are so caught in a cycle of saying terrible things to yourself that you are stuck. You feel powerless, hopeless, negative, and overwhelmed. If this is where you are, I use an eclectic combination of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to help you break these patterns and to find your inner power. Because no two people are the same, no two treatment plans are the same.
Some of the tools that I use most frequently include:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and
- Narrative Therapy.
I focus on your strengths and I focus on results. As much as I love talking with you, my goal is to get you off of the couch and back into your life as quickly as possible!
Maybe you are a high school senior or recent graduate trying to figure out your next steps in life? Maybe you have been in a career, but you feel unfulfilled? Are your children getting older and you want to determine your next chapter? Or have you retired and you are looking for a new sense of meaning and purpose?
If any of this describes you, I help you find your purpose and path by drawing on the principles of logotherapy and motivational interviewing. Together, we explore your personal values and sense of purpose. I employ the use of career, educational, and personality assessments, as needed, to further hone your path forward. We create a plan based on your goals and values to help you find a sense of peace and flow. You leave with a newfound sense of purpose and a clear path moving forward.
